So I am in possession of some fun Honda's. I have a '63 CL72, '65 CB77 SuperHawk, and a 1972 SL350. So here is my dumb question - for each of those bikes in each year are the motors the same across each platform? So take my SL. I'm tearing it apart right now. I'm having problems finding some parts that are labelled as for "SL". Was the 350 twin for 1972 identical for the CB, CL, and SL? Were they close enough that a seal kit for the CB will work on the SL?

The basic SL350 engine is the same as the CB/CL350, real difference in them other than the starter stuff is in the head/cam/carbs. I don't know about the others but you can research part numbers on this site https://westernhonda.com/

The SL engine has some parts that do not interchange with CB/CL. I do believe that the SL used non vacuum carbs.

Unfortunately I don't recall where I read what parts were different.
