On another note, while I love the bike mostly blacked out, have you thought about getting it pinstriped by hand? Some good old fashioned pinstriping work would really set that bike off IMHO.. You know, add a little "pop"?

It was just a suggestion to get your wheels turning about it. I like the bike as is, believe me! But an old school hot rod pinstripe job would really set it off if using the right colors and very little of it.

Like I said though Chris.. It's your bike and what makes you happy is making it your own. If you like it blacked out then tell the rest of us to go to hell with our fancy pinstriping talk.. :lol: I was just thinking a tiny amount maybe around the gas cap, on the side covers, etc. Maybe a symbol you've always liked or something..

I think some simple tank and side cover emblems would be just right.
I think your K6 side covers are flat, not recessed around the emblem like K2/K3 style -you could put just about anything there, the whole range of Honda (or not) graphic stuff.

CB450 tanks are tough - they're kind of a lumpy shape to begin with, not nice and streamlined like a CB500 four. They also have very strong horizontal lines on each side built-in, it's tough to work around.
The stocker Honda emblems would even work well, but maybe something older, even vintage decals, etc.......

those pipes are sweet. did you make them yourself? I've been trying to find a two to one exhaust system for my 73 450 for sometime or something like what you've done here.
