Hello Hello - from Australia!
Picked up a 1996 CB400SF - $2k all registered and ready to ride. Believe it was an import from Japan.
Love the bike, its in really good condition for a 20+ year old machine.

Two things I've noticed;
- Neutral was giving me absolute grief trying to select after the bike was ridden, got there eventually
- Really fuely smell when parked in my garage, with a small puddle of gas on the ground, its coming from what looks like some sort of gas tank evaporator hose?

Any information, workshop manuals, good links etc would be greatly appreciated at this stage.
I've done a bit of digging but can't seem to find all that much given it was a largely JDM bike.

Look forward to spending some time here
Cheers

Sometimes I hate living in America. Mostly when looking at Hondas from the rest of the world. That bike is super cool!

Are you closing the petcock when you park it? Float valves are imperfect at best and will typically allow some fuel to seep past causing the carbs to overflow.

Nice bike, I would ride that. Make sure you do not have gasoline in the motor oil.
Leaky carbs can contaminate the motor oil. Just my habit and my opinion but
the petcock should be closed if you are not riding the bike.
