Hey Guys,
I just bought a 1975 Honda CB500T. I was really patient for several years, and when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. 6k miles, with the original tires!

I've been out of cycling for most of my adult life, but used to race motocross as a kid. Getting out on the road will be an adventure!

I don't know much about wrenching on old Honda's so I'm bound to supply some stupid questions to the forum. But if any of you need help rebuilding old 60's-70's era Volvo's, let me know. That's where I scrape my knuckles.

We're all here to help one another. The collective knowledge here can't be beat anywhere. Especially a couple of the "old timers" here, who I won't mention... ;)

Have you given any thought to taking a road safety course for motorcycling? They do help people live longer, but as long as you look at every car on the road (or side roads) like they're purposely TRYING to kill you, then you should be ok. I treat every car on side roads like they're gonna pull out in front of me, and it's saved my ass more than once! ;)

Indeed, I'm going to take the course offered by the state of Delaware. I think this is a minimum precaution. Fortunately, I have lots of low-traffic roads around me and won't be using the bike on anything like a crowded commuting trip. But I appreciate the advice; I don't doubt for a minute that there's much I'll need to learn.

P.S. New Avons on as of tonight!

if there is a rutted farm track that turns off the highway out in the middle of no-where and you meet a cadillac going the other way they will turn in front of you if you meet at that intersection, I hate meeting trafffic at intersections, adjust your speed so either you or they get thru the intersection without being there at the same ,time, and of course you have to watch out so you don't get rear ended at stops, personnally I think ever motorcycle(ist) should be equipped with a warning device of at least .357 caliber
