Hi I'm Kris, I just got a 1981 honda cm400a. I don't know much about motorcycles. But have worked on cars most of my life so I understand how they work in that aspect. I need help with things being interchangeable. My bike has VB 24 carbs on it and my buddy who sold me the bike gave me to VB 22 carbs I plan on running them with pod filters and know that I uave to reset for that my question is will these work on my bike and if so do I jet them with the same size jets as the 24s ? Or do I have to go with bigger jets because the carbs are bigger? Thanks in advance for the help

Learn about the engine internals first...

Bike been in hibernation so vales may be stuck ??

A very gentle and cautiously turn the engine over by hand so if valve stuck you do not turn a viable engine into junk in one stroke...

Stick with the standard carbs untill bike has proven its self over 2 k or so miles...
