Howdy folks,

I am a new owner of an old 1975 CB500T. I got this bike off of ebay and have really enjoyed riding/working on it. Yall seem to know so much about these bikes so I'm sure I will have questions for ya later on. This is my first bike and I am very pleased with my decision to pick an older bike and particularly a Honda. I do not usually name my automobiles but the tag on the keys said "Frenchy" and its kinda grown on me.

Cheers,
Brent

ps here are some photos of my gal. As you can see she needs a bit of work.

To me it looks like that exhaust is a older Mac but turned around on the wrong side. Should be on the right. Someone has done some previous work on that bike, based on the paint. It looks like they spray bombed the engine while it was still in the frame. It also looks like the headlight ears are swapped around on the wrong sides as well. Plus the chopper universal headlight mount.

Not trying to pick your bike apart my friend. Just pointing out what may not be apparent to you at first.. ;)

oh yeah whomever did work on this bike before just truly did not care. I took that pos headlamp on and put the original back in. I also installed the front turn signals though not exactly up to specs. Couldn't find a stay that fit so I fabriacted one out of some brass piping. and ground it down to fit. The headlight ears were bent inward. BENT! It was totally unecessary. Seriously this dude was just lazy. Everything was just electrical taped together esentially. So I bent em back. Will upload pics later today. As for the exhaust I know it's shitty but will probablly leave it fo now unless it causes problems. I'm too cheap to replace something that pretty much works unless it will save me headache/ money in the future.
