Cheapo here scavenges used chinese appliances, like printers etc. There is always the hardware store.

Modern metric ISO screws from Hardware stores have a different thread spacing than the original JIS screws and will "cross-thread"....... Partial depth tapping with the modern tap can work, as can modifying the screws to "self-tappers" with a Jeweler's triangular file...Add blue Loctite during install.....
