The so professional person that painted my major parts didn't cover the motorcycle data plate on the frame and now it is cover with layers of primer and paint. Can I just used paint stripper or I might ruin the info on the plate?

By the way, it is a 79 CB 400 T. It still has the VIN # engraved beside it, but I don't think it is legal to paint that plate.

There is no law against painting that plate, at least in the USA.
TOOLS
I'm not sure if it is illegal or not. You can still the VIN # engraved on the frame and that's all in matter.

How long ago was it done? If it was recent, it may be removed easier..paint stays "soft" for a while..however if the primer used is epoxy based and self etching..it's a crap shoot no matter how "gentle" you attempt to remove the stuff.
... friggn idiots!!
