I just thought I'd share my winter project, my freshly refurbished CL-350. I took it down to the bare frame and painted the frame. I also painted the exhaust guard. Everything else is original paint and finishes. Even the hardware is all original Honda. The only repro part is the seat cover. I am still looking for the correct front fender (without the lip on the edge) and tool kit. I have plenty more pics if anyone is interested.
That's certainly a great looking example!! Nice job. I'd love to see a link with more pictures. Tell us about the seat. What did you do for foam? Does the back of the seat have the HONDA logo?
I've got a front fender at home and I don't think it has the lip around the front or rear edge. I'll check it out when I get home. It has some pitting but I'll send you picture if it's the right one. I have an original fender on my '68CL350 and the sides of the fender have a rolled edge, only the front and rear of the fender is not rolled.
I'm looking for a tool kit as well if you come across an extra.
How many miles are on the bike.
I certainly don't want to detract from your bike, it's great looking, but the side stand was not a painted item on the '68's. I offer this observation since it looks like you're after authenticity.
BTW, would you happen to have an extra HONDA tank badge laying around that you'd like to sell?
Again, great job.
