I just thought I'd share my winter project, my freshly refurbished CL-350. I took it down to the bare frame and painted the frame. I also painted the exhaust guard. Everything else is original paint and finishes. Even the hardware is all original Honda. The only repro part is the seat cover. I am still looking for the correct front fender (without the lip on the edge) and tool kit. I have plenty more pics if anyone is interested.
Cheers!

Runs increasingly good! Had a little carb adjusting to do. Then found a failing condenser. But getting the bugs worked out and now it is really starting to run great! I count on always finding some bugs!

That's certainly a great looking example!! Nice job. I'd love to see a link with more pictures. Tell us about the seat. What did you do for foam? Does the back of the seat have the HONDA logo?

I've got a front fender at home and I don't think it has the lip around the front or rear edge. I'll check it out when I get home. It has some pitting but I'll send you picture if it's the right one. I have an original fender on my '68CL350 and the sides of the fender have a rolled edge, only the front and rear of the fender is not rolled.

I'm looking for a tool kit as well if you come across an extra.

How many miles are on the bike.

I certainly don't want to detract from your bike, it's great looking, but the side stand was not a painted item on the '68's. I offer this observation since it looks like you're after authenticity.

BTW, would you happen to have an extra HONDA tank badge laying around that you'd like to sell?

Again, great job.

I have added some pictures below.
The fender that is in your picture is the one I am looking for - sharp front and rear edges.
The seat foam and pan are original. I just glued on a layer of batting for smoothness. You can see the logo in the added pictures.
There about 14,000 miles on the bike.
The side stand is an item I am aware of! But this painted stand was on the bike when I got it and is original paint. So either it came with it or somebody replaced it at some point. I wasn't sure what the original finish was (It seems like silver paint?) so I left it as is for now.
I do happen to have an extra set of wing emblems and one "Honda" emblem. They need the paint touched up but are straight.
Oh - and please excuse the battery charger wires hanging out! I forgot to tuck them in for the picture!

Great Pictures! Your front and rear fenders look much better than mine. I plan to rechrome mine in the future after I finish the 450 project.

I'm not the expert, but maybe the side stand came painted on some versions. Here is how my side stand came from the factory. It's obviously a steel side stand but I'm not sure what the plating is. Maybe zinc or something.

Here is another example that we've all seen on the net.

As I said, the front fender I have has some medium pitting and would need to be rechromed. If it's the right one maybe you'd be interested in a trade for the HONDA emblem?

I'll take another picture in a few hours.

Thanks, Mike. Your bike is great. I have been following your blog! I emailed you way back about exchanging parts and knowledge!
I sure would trade parts. I have quite a ton of extras.
Thanks for the information. I'm going to the Davenport AMCA meet this year, so I hope to get some knowledge there, and maybe even a few parts, though I'm not sure how much Honda stuff is usually at those gatherings.

Here are a few pictures of the fender I was talking about. I think it's what you're looking for. While it shines up nicely, it will need to be re chromed if you want it to match the rest of your bike.

Send me an email at [email protected] if you want to trade for the Honda tank badge.
