So I'm looking at new mufflers and have decided on the EMGO dunstall reps, and i can't decide between the wide mouth and the reverse cone styles. I wanted to keep noise down, and honestly anything is better than my current system, but i'd like to make an informed decision.

Wide Mouth: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dunstall ... 4837f18238

I like the look of the reverse cone more, but i hear they're really loud, and the wide mouth ones have a removable baffle that i could repack. What i was wondering was: how much of a difference would repacking the baffle tighter with more material make? and what about universal baffles, could i insert those into the headpipe, and would they really make any difference? Thanks for any input.

I know that the RoadHawks have re-packable baffles, but not sure about the Dunstall types.
the blurb on their ad (Dunstalls) does not mention a re-packable baffle, but it does for the RoadHawks.

If you're concerned about noise, the RoadHawks would be a much better choice - they're fairly quiet and sedate until you get up over 5,000 rpm or so...I can putt around town with hardly any noise at all, but when I get away from civilization and start crankin', they bark pretty good.
The Dunstalls are loud all the time........

if you look on the picture for the wide mouth, you can see the nuts to remove the baffle- heres a better pic with the picture of the removable baffle, and sparse looking packing-
