Hello everyone, long time no see. I am faced with another dilemma. I have a small but steady oil leak coming from the inside of the points, on my 72 CL350. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that I am in need of a new cam bearing and that they are extremely difficult to find. So, I started to check online and even contacted a Honda dealer that was able to give me a part number and told me that the cam bearing was actually machined into the left cylinder housing and that I would need to replace that in it's entirety. So I have found some online that are used or NOS, so my Question Is: How do you tell what a good cylinder cover looks like?? and What does a good cam bearing look like inside the cylinder cover?? Thank you all in advance for your help and thank you for your help in the past. I :D

Once removed, you will be able to see obvious scoring in the mating surface between the cam and "cover" (bearing).
Or not, if it's good.

I'd try a new point seal first.......
