Im currently making a scrambler out of my newly acquired 1974 CD175 and im aiming to run a 3.00 18 front and a 3.25 18 rear tire.

Ive searched for a little while and found i require a 18 x 1.85 rim for the front and a 18 x 2.15 rear to make this fit correctly (I'm used to the modern tire sizes) I've looked into which spoke sizes I require but I can't seem to find out what sizes I need, it's all a bit vague. so far all I've found is a CL175 spoke set for £25 front and rear each but im not sure if this runs the same drum as my CD.

Any help on spoke sizes would be greatly appreciated also that my rim sizes are correct for my tire choice :)

Just update the whole 18" wheel , cb /cl 175 or cb/cl 200 rear hub is a bolt on, front will need a spacer made but gives you a larger twin leading edge brake.
Cd175 have a the same size hub front and back 140mm brake while the Cb/cl 175/200 have 160mm front and 140mm rear so in theory a set of cb/cl rear spokes should be close to getting an 18" rim and a CD front drum together. The CD has the widest forks of the range so you can easily fit a cb350 front hub in with 180mm front drum
