Hey Guys,

First post so bare with me.

As you guys know the 500t has the 5 wire ignition switch, doesn't look great if you're going for the cafe look.

I'm ok with just having an On/Off switch somewhere on the bike, but don't want to just start randomly cutting these wires.

I've looked at diagrams but haven't gotten much out of it.

Is there a thread on here that walks your through a key delete? Turning it into a simple on off switch?

I think 66 sprint has posted simplified diagrams many times. Try a google seach I've never had much luck with the sites search function

Join the brown and brown/white wires, then connect your switch to the red and black wires.

Mike is 100% correct....Connect both brown wires to the Brown/White wire, and the On/Off switch activates (makes or breaks) the Red wire to Black wire connection.....

MotoGadget has a keyless ignition switch that’s worth considering if you don’t mind the cost.

Look in the SOHC Electrical section, member Ryan.Hope is working with this type of thing
