Thanks Bill2 and GB. I'll be giving the shops a call tomorrow to see if anyone's got em in or can order em for me.

On that note, I've taken apart my first carbs and am having a go at cleaning them all out, seeing how they work, and checking the pieces/parts for wears and tears. Look good except for the needle on one side has some wear.
Just waiting on the gasket kit to come in to get to the leaking.

Looking forward to getting the annotated manual for sure

What needle? The float needle valve?

From my experiences it's always best to replace both float needle valves after verifying petcock condition. Then setting float height. Keeps that expensive fuel out of your crankcase...

At nearly $20 each, I'd personally just get a couple of carb kits and get all the gaskets and stuff too.
That is, after making sure the carb kits had the right jet sizes - gotta watch them, they'll try to slip in some 150's a lot of times.

Bill is right here. More cost effective that way. Plus you've got spares then, and we ALL like having spares right?

Carb kits? http://stores.ebay.ca/Sirius-Consolidated-Inc has been reliable for me.

just bought viton tipped needles from a local shop called K-TEC who matched them up with viton tipped ones for suzuki and yamaha, perfect match, $15 each, thats fine, this is the last real bike shop run by former racers who will work on anything. no clothing or mugs for sale here. part number was AM 01-16-944.
