Hi there, having got my bike through the UK MOT test and finally registered I've started the major strip down and restoration. One thing that bothered me when the bike was running is the right plug always seemed as though it was a touch on the rich side (dry sooty deposits). When I initially stripped and cleaned the carbs the right carb looked older and in worse condition inside and out than the left, almost like the left had been replaced, but I didn't give it much thought untill now. So here's what I found on closer inspection.........
Left carb: Main 130, Pilot and secondary pilot both 38
Right carb: Main 130, Pilot and secondary pilot both 40
Kinda tallys with the rich running right cylinder but would the difference between a 38 and 40 be that noticeable?
I've tried to source some pilot jets here in the UK, without much luck so far, the only things I've come across are Keyster kits. After reading some of the comments about these kits on the forum I'm a bit reluctant to buy them, anyhow they only have the pilot jet, main jet etc and not the secondary pilot.
Are there any suppliers still stocking these items or am I worrying about nothing?
Cheers for now.
