Hi, My name is D.J. I am a 21 year old engineering student from New Orleans. I was recently given a 1972 CL175 that I plan on using to scoot around campus on. It will be my first bike and first time working on a motorcycle.
This is her after a bath.

She is not running yet, but I am going to post a thread about that in the mechanical section. Thanks!

Welcome and nice bike! The price sure is right. For an engineer, tis should be good practice.

That is a nice looking bike and will be Perfect for what you want to do. Get a manual and the first things to fix are the basics. Fuel, compression, and spark

We will help.

Welcome DJ.... As this groups chief 175 enthusiast (self-proclaimed),
I'll be happy to help in any way I can.... Nice starting bike, and condition looks fairly good...
First, Run a compression check if you can, that's always a good baseline reference point....
You WILL need a good battery for it to run properly.... New spark plugs will help it run better,
and allow us to judge how well the engine is performing...... Again, welcome!..... Steve
