I have just spent a hour trying to find info on identifying the carbs on my newly acquired CB450K1. It matters especially when buying a rebuild kit.

I know what they say ought to be there, but I'm a suspicious type. Anyway after a lot of searching I found out where the stamp is.

It is at the back of the carb, below the intake and just under the intake rubber band.

Sorry image seems to have rotated a bit :)

no doubt, someone will now point me to another post where this info is clear, but .... Hope this helps some other new kid on the block.

Hi 76,

I didn't have a question this time.

It just took me so long to find the info I was looking for, I thought it might help someone else, as slow as me, to post what I found when I found it.

I was just pointing out where the carb model number was stamped.

in the engine section stickies for "compiled torque table" I had a tab that listed the different carbs & jettings for this bike. that won't answer your "what is this" question but may give you some history help.
