[Bridges Switch]

I am rebuilding a 1975 CL360, when I took apart the starter/clutch side forward handlebar control this piece fell out. Seems there are a number of chambers and cavities it could fit in. Can some identify it and tell me where it goes? If anywhere. It wouldn't be the first thing I built that had a few extra parts. Is there a thread that gives a hint on how to get these back together, with a little bit of wire it seems a tight fit.

It's the peg, normally pressed into the switch body, that fits into a hole in the handlebar to keep the assembly from turning and cutting the wires.
