it should be marked on your key if original.
also on your ignition switch, sometimes hard to read if faded. I had to use a
magnifying glass with my old eyes. should be on any lock on the bike, ie steering look, maybe helmet lock etc..
The CB500T has the newer style ignition switch on the handlebars. The key number is not visible. Try looking at the helmet lock. You may need to take it off and look at the base. The best option might be to just have a new key copied from your existing key.
you where right thank you, I had to disassemble the ignition switch and on the 500T 1975 it was located at the edge of the aluminum plate, on the 1976 on the main area on the plate itself. Sorry for my poor english.
Probably a dumb question, but the title of the thread says it all.. referring to tuning the carbs, the manual says to adjust the pilot screw to "the highest idle rpms". What exactly does that mean? Thx.
