I need to know where you measure the diameter of rims from. Is the measurement the Inside Diameter or the Outside Diameter. I had the understanding that my '72 CB350 had 18" rims front and rear. When I measure them they are 19" OD. I also bought some used Yamaha XS650 rims that I thought were all 19" front, and 18" rear. I measure those at 20" Front and 19" rear.

Someone please tell me that I'm measuring them wrong and it's Inside Diamater.

Jason.... Don't bother measuring, the rim size and width are usually stamped into it somewhere near the valve stem hole... If not (some older DID rims), whatever size tire is on it will tell you the size.... You CB 350 does have 18" front and 18" rear wheel rims IF they are original.... My CB 350 front is stamped 160Ax18W (DID) and the CB200 says 160x18 (ARAYA)..... Steve

thanks, I think it was just the beer talking earlier. I found that the measurement is taken from where the bead on the tire seats. That means about a half inch down on each rim, which equals an inch in diameter. I was just about to order spokes from Buchannan and didn't want to end up with spokes that don't work. I'm good now and will be ordering in the morning when I sober up.

I can't wait to lace these guys up.

Jason, If you are going to run that 19" front, you'll need a CL fender....(Or other fender "arced" for a 19" tire) ... The CB fender will possibly "rub" unless you decrease tire size (like down to a 2.75).... I don't generally recommend this small a tire in a 1.85 width rim.....But it has been done..... Just ANOTHER thing to consider....
