Hi,

i just got a lucas style tail light from dennis kirk and it has 2 wires (red, black).
the stock 1973 CL 350 tail light had 3 ?
i can get it to be a running light or a brake light but not both?

any ideas????

The missing wire is the ground... Hook the red to the brake wire , the black to the Brown (might be reversed...try it and see....

On the new Lucas type, one wire is probably tail light, the other stop light.
Figure out which is which - the stop light is brighter.

On the Honda, brown was tail light, green/yellow is stop light, and green is ground...

You're expected to provide a ground for the Lucas type, I think.
Although it may work like it is, who knows??
