Hey all,

I've been reading a bit about exhausts and I've inferred that a two into one is a design preferable to two exhausts (one for each cylinder).

Is my assumption correct? Why or why not?

Thanks,
Matt

I sense a "Best Oil" question coming on here.

Personally, I think the best exhaust is the one that looks and sounds like the owner likes it and matches up with the intake to get it breathing right (allowing for the occasional city/county/state law enforcement type with a decible meter).

A 2/1 set-up "scavenges" better at certain frequencys of pulses...That is, one escaping exhaust pulse helps "pull" the next one if they are resonating properly together....This requires 'tuned' lengths of header before the join, and works best when the pulse frequency's half-wave harmonics "overlap" to create a continuous/ steady pressure flow rate......IN THEORY......
MANY factors affect engine performance at certain rev speed ranges....This is just one of them.....
