I'm sure this has been asked before. Contemplating how I can achieve the CL style pipes on my nighthawk 250. I've found CL360 exhausts on craigs but before I decided to buy I need some advice. I'm guessing that it wont be a bolt on mod.

Anyone else try this?

I have not tried this.

But I have 250 Nighthawks and wonder what I'll do when all the used stock exhausts are gone.

Designing an exhaust system that leaves you with a rideable/reliable/fun bike takes lots of calculation.
There is much more to it than cut/weld/grind, repeat. And the odds of finding a complete system from a scrambler that'll bolt up are slim to none.
It'd be cheaper to start from scratch with a good design than to hack up good vintage parts from a bike with a faithful following.

I'm gonna say based solely on exhaust gasket dimensions that its a no go.

The 250 NH: Honda Exhaust Pipe Gasket Seal 31.50 x 39.80 x 4.0 18291-216-000/MN5-650 https://m.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Exhaust-Pipe-Gasket-Seal-31-50-x-39-80-x-4-0-18291-216-000-MN5-650/171635341944?hash=item27f6437a78:g:z6IAAOSw-W5UsCVP

And the cl350/360: Honda Exhaust Pipe Gasket Seal 37.2 x 46.2 x 4.7 18291-286-000/306

Perhaps from a smaller bore bike?

I've seen photos of that one before, there are a few others out there too but all one-off builds.
It seems to be an opportunity to design and produce a couple of good systems that would sell if pricing was good.

have you guys seen any 2 into 1 options? Feel like the bikes after market parts are very limited. I've sen some for CB350/360 on Dennis Kirk but I don't think those will work on this bike.

Furthermore these two are listed as fitting both:
HONDA CB400 SUPERHAWKIII
HONDA NIGHTHAWK250

So when I search for:
HONDA CB400 SUPERHAWKIII

I get a bunch of other results, many of them pipes, many not chrome and most of them priced lower.

Now am I mistaken, the CB250N/400N are more like the CB/CM400/450 engines we got in the US, just 'reduced effect'??? Or are some of these applicable for CB250 Nighthawk application?

Thanks LDR, it can get confusing with models we didn't see in the states.

So the 2 pipes I linked to in reply #10 are the only ones for a 250 Nighthawk. The rest will fit the CB/CM 400s and 450s we see here.

YES!!!

these are friken awesome! I have to save up for it for sure, shipping is killer :(.

Both say nighthawk 250 and the second link shows an image of 4into1? Also, the matte black versions of both are gorgeous! but nighthawk 250 isn't listed as fit for some reason. Will have to be cautious at the time of ordering. I don't want to pay for return shipping back to JP.

Thank you good sir for sharing these. Now they are on my to buy list.

Just to be sure, its just the 2 in reply #10 that say 250 Nighthawk. I do like some of the others for my CM400 but at that price no way.

And that 4:1 has a note that the photo is not the actual item.

You're welcome, if I find anything else I'll pose em here. Someone has to be making something in the states besides Mac.

From Predator Motorsport in the UK in 304 stainless with a 10 year warranty:
Honda CB250, Honda CB250 Exhaust, CB250 Exhaust System, Honda CB250 Parts, CB250 KNIGHTHAWK
So I figured I'd chime in. I've left my bike sit for a while because it's been running questionably and it's cold.

BUT

I plan on actually paying the roughly $450 to get one of those Predator exhausts once I get my tax refund.

I've wanted to run it 2 into 1 for a while now, and the mods I'm going to put into this bike will easily eclipse what I paid for it, but oh well, that was never the point.

So I hope I'll be able to get that sorted at some point soon, at least ordered anyway. I'll definitely try to update everyone on how it turns out. I'll probably set up a build thread for the Zombie Hawk so I have my own little place to ramble on about small modifications.

we get it - and I definitely do, I have over 8 times what my bike sold for new in my 450 build, but I have what I intended to have when I started the project, just came in about $2k higher total invested than I'd hoped. Doesn't matter if you don't plan to sell it anyway...

and, another great "Alan research" find!

Sounds good Mongo, if I had that kind of cash I'm sure something else would come up... Enjoy yourself and enjoy the bike.

I think I'm going to form a 250 Nighthawk group in the groups section on this site, I think we're up to at least 4 NH owners now.
