You might want to take a look at a PDF copy before shelling out on a physical version. I've got the physical book but it's much more of a factory technician's reference document than what you'd think of as a workshop manual.

Apologies if you already know this, but manuals from the early years of Honda's manufacturing (relatively speaking) are from a time when the technicians would have been either factory trained or classroom schooled before being allowed anywhere near the machines. Consequently, there was no reason for the manuals to be decipherable by mere mortals. It took another few years before Honda realised they needed to transition into the more classic workshop manual style most people are familiar with today. Those books contain endless tables of numbers and measurements at the expense of properly described and signposted processes.

Not sure whether you'll get a PDF copy around here but you may be able to find something reference material-wise on the Honda305.com forum - it's dedicated to the CA/CB/CL72's and 77's.
