Hey all,

I am entering "project" mode and I have removed my tail light and rear fender. I want to chop the fender down to 2/3 of its actual length and replace the brakelight with one that incorporates a license plate bracket. There are some cool ones out there, but there are no dimensions given on the placement of the screws or how many wires are needed.
I am wondering if there are any CB360t peepz that have kept their rear fender and mounted a new light using the screw holes already there. (Also the wiring on my fender shows that there are 3 wires, brown, green, and green+yellow going into the brakelight. Some websites show the wires on their lights, but only have 2. I guess I can drill a new hole if I really need to...

Here are a few that I was looking at:

You can use any taillight you want, really.
Your green wire is ground, the brown is taillight, the green/yellow is brake light.
It's the same wiring as all Hondas of the era.
Some aftermarket lights skip the ground wire, depending instead on a ground via the mount itself. Figure out a way to use the ground wire, it will be more dependable.

I think that if you check the measurements, you'll find the "cat eye" taillight to be a little small.

I already explored that option for the 450. Just my 2 cents...

Yeah I was leaning towards the cb750 cafe one. I made a pretty good estimate of how big the cat eye was on a sheet of paper and figured that it would be way too small for my liking

Yeah I know! I ran into that when I was looking for something else. I already paid to have my seat cover replaced professionally so I gave up on that......for now
