Hi the ht lead on one of the coils on my 1970 cb 450 is loose where it enters the coil,so needs replacing,are there any other honda coils which are interchangeable,as i am finding it dificult to find 450 ones,any help please.

Any 12volt, single fire, Honda coil will work Or maybe it's time to open the pocket and buy new ones :lol:

I did the same thing, new coils & wires for $60.00 was a great deal and an easy install.

I also have a cb450 and have been trying to get it running. I finally have the electric start working but have no spark on the left side (lft if your on the bike) I've come to the conclusion that this is the hot side or first to fire. Is this correct? I believe that the coil on that side is shot. Will any 12 volt coil work? The one in your link looks exactly the same but it's for a 650 dose the cc really matter? This is the last step to getting my custom bobber on the road so if you could let me know as soon as possible I would really appreciate it. Thanx :ugeek:

The coils from mikesxs are a great affordable alternative and work fine on the 450, I did the same on my CL450

Dave, I know this is a long time after your original post but as another 450 owner from sussex I had to reply.
I have a few sets of 500T coils that will fit, yours for the asking.

I curious how the Mike's XS coils work on our small charging systems w/ 3 ohms impedance compared to our stock 5 ohm impedance coils? anyone been having low voltage/charging system issue's ?
