As far as I know, only the Honda letters, which were black - but some Hondas back then didn't even have the letters painted IIRC, so it could have just been a polished and cleared cover. Hard to say for sure from this
I'm reasonably sure it was polished and cleared, with no paint in the "Honda" recess. Most Hondas of that era were like that. If you zoom in, you can see the shift lever reflected in the cover.
All of the early style covers (K1) that I have all have black paint or remnants of paint in the lettering. Unfortunately the cover on my ‘66 K0 is a replacement but it has painted letters as well.
