Hi good people. I would like to ask you if bike should be running with open or close choke. My bike is running only if choke is open. As soon as I close it it die. Is it all right or it should be able to run with close choke?

The choke plate is ONLY closed for cold starting purposes, once the engine starts the choke should be gradually opened until the engine will run without it.

Okay let's throw out the OPEN/CLOSED terms and think common sense.

CHOKE - Grab Someone by the throat and make it so they can't breath - right?

So if the CHOKE FLAP is Blocking the Opening in the Carb it is "ON" The FLAP is "CLOSED"
And Vice-Versa if the CHOKE FLAP is NOT Blocking the Opening in the Carb it is "OFF" and the Passageway is "OPEN"

Motor's need to Breath so let's help it get ALL the air it can use once it's warmed up.

So "OPEN" it is.
