I recently purchased this 71 CB350. It appears to have an oil leak somewhere...While trying to figure out where it was coming from I found what looks like a hole in the fin under the spark plug. I assumed the oil was coming from one of the gaskets but I'm not sure if it is also coming from the hole. The bike seems to run pretty well and it has good compression.

Has anyone seen something like this before or know if oil passes through that are of the fin?

The third picture is a day after cleaning it up a bit.

Thanks!

The holes in the fins are for the hard rubber vibration dampers installed between pairs of fins (Keeps them from "singing" at certain revs)

It is unlikely these are the problem causing your oil leakage....

Sorry if I wasn't clear, in the second picture notice its more like a tear right under the spark plug (the pic is flipped for some reason)

that's a bolt hole...there's a 6mm hex head bolt in there (or at least there should be)

Just to be clear I've circled the tear....The other side is definitely not like this. It is right in front of the bolt but it opens up to the hollow part of the fins.
