Hi All
This has probably been asked before
I have just rebuilt the above bike after 2 years work on and off and started the engine for the first time today
The engine starts but revs straight up to 6000 and beyond at which point I had to shut it off quickly
Both exhausts are hot and having removed the air filters, find that the sliders are at the bottom of their travel
so the cables aren't stretched, but it won't idle at a slow speed
I replaced the o rings on the intakes so there should be no air leaks there
Has anyone any ideas as I really don't want to damage the engine after all this work
Your help will be appreciated

Hi Simo
I will take the sliders out today and have a look
I know from looking down the throats that the sliders are not all the way down
I will let you know what I find
I didn't even know that they were handed
Thanks

Hi Simo
I have taken out the slides and swopped them around
One thing I have found is that the new cable that I put on is about 1/4in shorter on the cable length than
the original which I still have
I have swapped them back again and it now does not rev highly although only the left cylinder is firing !!
The right plug is sparking so I suspect a petrol supply fault as the plug does not smell of petrol
I will carry on tomorrow
Thanks for your help

Hi Simo
I have checked and the cutouts are facing the air filter
I now have the engine running on both cylinders and at 1200 rpm idle
Great and thanks to you
I have ordered on Ebay a new old stock throttle cable to replace the original
as it looks rubbish as all the other cables are brand new
Thanks again for your help
