I'm kinda new to these forums. I just got (6 wks.) a 71 SL350 locally. I do belong to several technical forums- solar electric, computer, etc. I owned a motorcycle shop in the early 70s and a tire store/NAPA auto parts store in the 90s, so I'm pretty much a gearhead. I won't need too much help with mechanical stuff but I really need a few parts and I'm already looking for another old Honda twin- VT500 Ascot. I'm looking forward to being a regular on here. Thanks to the founders for making this possible.

Nice. Is the Solar Electric any sort of relations to Steve McQueen's Solar Productions?

I wasn't aware that McQueen was involved with PV. I designed and installed PV systems here in the Ozarks starting in the late 90s. I'm not doing any more new systems right now but I take care of my customers and might take a new system if I like the people and it's a challenging job. After the last few weeks, I may not (ever) be able to retire completely.

Hey Dennis, Good to have you here. Also nice to hear from another Arkansan too. I'm about 12miles South of Fort Smith (in Greenwood). Where are you located? I'm sure you'll like it here, just browse around and don't hesitate to chime in whenever or wherever you feel the urge. Looking forward to seeing the old SL and good luck on finding the VT you are looking for. I've kinda wonderd about one of those VTs myself.

Got a good amount of experience and ideas here too! So, feel free to throw out questions or whatever.
