GB, I'd appreciate it if you could look for a 305 (CB77) speedo cable for me while you are late-night questing the net..... I'll also need front wheel spokes (a complete set with nipples) IF they are affordable.......
The spokes may have to wait until I can afford the rim as well, but I'd better find and secure that speedo cable ASAP..... It's got smaller diameter threading than the look-alike early 450 drum brake (right-side) type and may prove to be the "stumbling-block" to using the CB77 hub on my 90.........

I just figured out that those 2 old speedo's I have (given to me with a load of old Honda junk) are 305 models. Both with broken glass and various needle lengths :lol: I'll check for a cable tomorrow too.

GB...I found a couple speedo cables on eBay, but most of them are in Thailand, (three week wait), and would cost $40 to $50 including shipping...About three times the $15 they should cost (and what I could maybe afford)...... I think I have a 450 inner cable which should fit the drive end, and perhaps can fabricate an outer IF I can find the correct bottom "nut" (even an old used one can be cleaned and painted)..... Alternatively, It appears that I could possibly modify the housing like I did for the CB 200 drive, and run a newer style cable....Or maybe another brand (Yam, Suzuki, Kawi ) might be fitted....

HOWEVER, IF you can find a complete (even ragged) cable, I'll have something to go by and start with.... That would be great! .......Thanks again, Steve
