Not necessarily - back in The Day, many states titled bikes as the year they were sold, not the year they were produced......

Actually, that red one is not identical to the one in the original post, since the emblem doesn't have the white background - something that was only on one year of them, I believe '73. Not sure, but they are possibly the hardest to find in good shape.

LOOKS TO BE A 72-73 Right hand cover, but it has a Left hand emblem. It is the same as my 72. Wings point forward on both sides.
