Internet folks i need your help. Need to rebuild these carbs, but i cant seem to figure out what bike they came from.
Is it the same as say a VB21 - would the same rebuild kit work?
I've scoured the net cant seem to match up these carbs with a model type. Its a VB33A according to the model number but i cant seem to find any more info than some very basic guesses and dead links.

Any help would be appreciated.

The basic rebuild kit for the VB21 should work unless your carbs have an accelerator pump. Easiest way to tell is that it has 1 or 2 pipes between the carbs, 2 meaning an accel pump.

Hey Jim,
Im actually just going over your instructions on how to rebuild the vb21 now. Thanks so much for sharing them.
Do you happen to know what bike the vb33a is off of? I'm trying to nail down differences and anything that could go sideways

All of the US and I think Canadian models used the VB2* series carbs. All the reports of the VB3* type carbs come out of Europe but I don't have any information on what was used where and when.

I’ve cleaned my carbs today for the first time (VB31D) following “Jim’s Bible” and man was it helpfull! ..so Jim,a big Thank you,,,all pretty straight forward, didn’t separate them as this was more a “see whats in there” than a real cleaning,,,one question thought...the primary is 75 and secondary 110,however i have one non OEM kit that has a 72/118 combo jets and was wondering should i increase the secondary?!..or this does not make any sense?! All Parts were pretty decent so didnT change a thing, left all original parts..the PO must have done a good job before as everything seems new and clean, didnt have much to do..only some debris in the bowl,,, C2BB372E-CC66-48A3-BA37-FB2C2B091174_1532281332892.jpg C2BB372E-CC66-48A3-BA37-FB2C2B091174_1532281332892.jpg C2BB372E-CC66-48A3-BA37-FB2C2B091174_1532281332892.jpg C2BB372E-CC66-48A3-BA37-FB2C2B091174_1532281332892.jpg C2BB372E-CC66-48A3-BA37-FB2C2B091174_1532281332892.jpg

A 75/118 combo will be fine, It'll use a bit more fuel at higher rpm and also produce a little more power
