What product/s do you suggest?
I'm not skilled enough to take it apart and clean the casings individually, So I'm basically planning on just pulling up a stool and going at it. My girlfriend's dad is an engineer so I have access to a looot of tools.
What tools should I use?
Are there any special methods for getting in the cylinders really well?
Any sensitive areas I should tape off? I'm probably just staying away from the carbs all together I dont want to mess up anything lol.

I looked around and see a lot of opinions on other sites but those sites aren't hondatwins.

My bike is currently in the shop, so I cant post any detailed pictures right now. But my engine looks identical to this one I found on another site.

You can just forward a tutorial you trust as well, that'd be great.

Thanks,
Danny

Your Honda is a Yamaha? Well that's your problem! Joking

If you are going to shine it then you are going to have to go at it with some wet sandpaper and aluminum polish. Progress through the grits rough to fine, 230-2000. You will need to get through the clear coat that was put on the motor parts if it has not already yellowed and peeled off.

If you are going to paint, you will need to tape all orifices and will likely have trouble getting into all areas. Use high temp paint to do so.

I used a sand blaster to get into the fins of the cylinders but that is defiantly not recommended with it on the bike (media will go every where!). I did have some luck with a wire brush in a drill and a rotary tool with a fine stone bit once upon a time but it was tedious.

Hit it with some paint stripper first rather than sanding through the paint, saves you a ton of time. Just be careful cause its nasty stuff.
Also when wet sanding if there are little areas that you cant reach then use a dremmel on a slow speed with a high grit bit in it.
