I just picked up a '69 CB 160. Part of the reason I got it was to do the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride this September 24th.

The bike ran great the first two times I used it but the third time I tried to use it I had a rough idle and lack of power.

I tried a few different things to diagnose problem but fortunately was able to use a local mechanic who works on a lot of older Japanese bikes. Turns out the plugs were fouled, the plugs being used were too hot and the resistor caps being used were way too high in resistance (20k). She runs great now.

A lot to share in my intro but I know it helps to share how these issues get resolved. Sometimes the problem is much simpler than you think it is. Land vehicle Vehicle Motor vehicle Motorcycle Automotive tire
