Hello all,
My name is Shain and live on Oak Island NC. I am a remodeling contractor on a good day and a handyman (yuck) when work is slow;I takes what I gets. I've always been good with my hands but never really did any mechanical work; mainly woodworking. I recently bought a 1980 cb400t Hawk. It has sat for 28 years and it is now my intention to bring it back to life. When I bought it for a mere $75, I thought for $75 I'll buy it, take it apart and get a $75 dollar education in motorcycle mechanics. But after opening it up and seeing how shiny it's guts are, I was encouraged to resurrect the Hawk.

It has been said that there are no stupid questions...we'll see about that.

That looks like a great start, especially for $75.
Welcome.

Resurrections are good. You have the deal of the year at $75.
You'll need a proper Factory Service Manual in your restoration. PM sent.
