I'm 44 years old, and I've been riding for about 10 years now.

Ten years ago (my first bike) I bought a 1981 CM400T (FOURTH owner that I know of) for $600. It had 12,733 miles on it. Before I parked it in April 2009, it was around 49,250 miles. Truly a daily driver. After a little more work, I will be getting back on it.

Last summer (May 09) I bought a salvage-title (cosmetic damage) 2003 Yamaha V-Star Classic 650. Roughly $2660 to get tax, title, salvage title inspection, plates and insurance for the first year. For a pretty nice bike with just under 4,000 miles on it. As I write this, the odometer reads 12,282.

Fun facts:

I've run linux on various computers for over 10 years.

Good IQ and Asperger's Syndrome are a potent combination.

I have ridden the Honda in the rain, with thousands of dollars of drugs, LEGALLY (they were chemotherapy drugs -- seems I didn't get enough of them at the hospital). Oh, yeah. And I beat Hodgkins Lymphoma.

You must be tough, that Hodgkin's stuff doesn't mess around.

Welcome and good luck on getting that CM back on the road.
