Hello,
for the last few days i noticed a popping sound on my left exhaust, thought nthing of it really, then last night i put on the pod filters/cones and wnt for a ride with my friend, he noticed that when i was on the throttle white smoke came out, so i pulled over and notice that there is oil on the lower part of the cylinder, coming out from the head gasket.

so i guess i need to know these things:

1. is it safe to still drive like this?
2. are there any non-head removing ways to fix it?
3. should i move back to the paper filters?

thanks, for your help

I wouldn't ride it like that.. Especially if it's smoking. Besides, it'll just keep losing more power..

The head will have to come off to replace the gasket.

......and that means pulling the motor. First thing to do is a compression check and that will tell you a lot right there.

The other thing you'll need is a service manual. That will walk you though the sequence of pulling the head if you haven't done it before.

Good luck.
