Here's an old mechanic's tip for cleaning your greasy, filthy hands.

Just pour out a handful of common table sugar, add a little dishwash soap, then work it in good and rinse.
Works absolutely great, as well as any expensive fancy stuff you can buy!!
And completely non-toxic.

Good idea Bill.. ;)

Another one I picked up at a job once, was to rub some lotion into your hands real good before handling anything uber dirty such as brake parts. It soaks in so the hands are'nt slippery, and it blocks the pores closed or something? Anyway, stuff washes off very easily afterwards.

I'm no stranger to gasoline hand cleaner.. My first incident with gasoline was'nt fun. I still remember it oddly enough. I was still in diapers and dad was out mowing. I tipped over the gas can, spilled it all over the ground, then fell diaper first into the puddle. I remember the burning and screaming part the best... Then mom running outside freakin out!
