hello everyone, boy an I glad to have found you all. my Name is Corey, I have been building, working on and breaking engines all my life. As a hobby I repair and flip lawn equipment, I have restored (or at least brought back to life) several classic cars including a 1972 Mercedes 220D and a 1975 Chevy Corvette. I got into motorcycles through mopeds, I have several, including a 1989 Tomos Bullet and a 1968 solex. I discovered Honda twin while looking for a small but more powerful (than a moped) means of transportation I could fit on my boat and take to Canada the Erie islands etc. As soon as I saw a pic of one I knew I needed to have one (it won't fit on the boat). I found what I hope was a pretty good deal on a 1973 Honda Cl200 which I hope too restore with all your help.
thanks in advance for your help and expertise, as it will be invaluable in this my first motorcycle restoration,
Corey

The cl175 k3 pipes are all the same fit, on the Cl200 the leg sheild looks like a Cl175 k5,K6,k7 but the muffler Sheild looks like it's unique

The 200's are close dimensionally to the 175's but are internally different, though based on the 175s. The cams are different between the 175-200 but the same between cb200 and Cl200.
The cams are hard to come by so look after the one in it if it's any good
The cam journals are plain bearings ( no balls or rollers) and require good oiling, they often fail due to lack of oil or thin oil (gas contamination) from leaving the petcock open when the bikes parked
