Will a 1982 cb750/cb900 Super sport gas tank fit a 1982 cb450T?

I tried the tank from my 73 CB750K on a spare CB400T frame once, it barely cleared the backbone but it just fit. In the photo below you can see the narrow area parallel to the petcock hole, that fit but was a tight slip fit on the CB400T frame. I'm not sure if it would require relocating the CDI or ignition coil, I didn't have those mounted on this frame at the time. I'm not sure if the later DOHC tanks had a wider tunnel or not, but I have seen DOHC tanks on SOHC fours.

Let's look at some pictures from eBay:

Here's a SOHC CB750K from 71-76

And a DOHC CB750 from 1982

The tunnel is much wider but the front mount appears narrower, not sure if it really is.

Funny, earlier I had not thought about it but I had a CB900F I sold and yeah I had 750 and a 900 and both tanks were identical underneath like that.

Those DOHC chain drive CB750s and CB900s had lots of similarities didn't they?

Nearly idential, I robbed that 750 for a crap ton of parts. Oddly the brake caliper pistons are smaller, but otherwise same. The engine itself is just a bored 750 really.

The CB400T 1980 81 and CB450T use the same tank and the CB250n and the CB400n,kinda hard to find a good one, that,s when I started looking at the 750/900 supersport tanks from the 1980 to 1982 era. I figure with the huge knowledge base of this forum somebody has tried about everything.
