Any kits out there to convert the front drum to a disc?

Of course after a certain year, the Nighthawk 250s everywhere else in the world came with a front disc but not here :(
I'm pretty sure the front forks are 31mm if that turns on any "light bulbs" upstairs ;-)

I’ve looked and haven’t noticed any kits. The best I could manage was maybe looking for used forks or buying the actual lower half of the fork from a parts dealer.

The wheels are affordable enough, you could probably get them from U.K. E-Bay for only $50-60. But the fork seems pretty expensive and I was only trying to find the left side because that’s what the caliper bolts into.

Parts were out of stock where I checked but listed at over $200 for just the lower half of the fork. And I only see old American nighthawk parts online.

You might have to go the hard route and fit a new triple tree and buy forks from something similar.

I’ve personally given up on it for now. I’m not looking to make the bike go any faster, and I do appreciate the clean look of having no brake reservoir on my handlebars.

Use www.cmsnl.com to sort thru part numbers and models for the pieces needed. Once you have those numbers go to www.partsfish.com and when you get to the select year page there's a box to the right you can enter the part number into. This will tell you years and models of US only bikes that used that part if any did.

Just throw on an entire cmx250 front end, the forks are 1/2" longer no biggie. Gen1 and Gen2 rebels had different brake setups (one left and one right) so make sure you keep to one or the other.

Gen1 was 84-87, and had single disk on the right.

Gen2 was 96-2016, and had single disk on the left.

Heres a Rebel with a Nighthawk front end, I guess the forks are always greener.... https://www.hondarebelforum.com/f12/chapter-2-of-the-rebel-hawk-115857.html

Someday I may mix a gen1 right and a gen2 left for a mongrel dual disk setup and lace up some 17" aluminum rims with sticky tires. Prolly hafta figure out a custom hub tho.....

Partzilla has the cross-reference function too, but none of these really seem like a complete listing to me. The more you look at different cross references, the more you'll find.
