Hey guys, I just finished wiring up signals, front and rear brake lights on a 73 CB350g but I cant get the front to brake switch to work.....I had it replaced with a new aftermarket orange plastic one. hooked up fine with no issues but no go.

Can anyone confirm the wiring.

Thanks

Front brake lights? Do you mean turn signals? Are you talking about the brake switch or the flasher?

I must have something wired wrong.....the wire got real hot, like I could smell it.

It didn’t blow a fuse as I had the wire in my hand and could feel it getting hot lol

Long story short my uncle had to fix the front end thanks to my cuzn and had to replace lots of wire in the bucket. Being in the navy he was very handy but used black wire to repair everything.

Getting married and having kids made my hair fall out but this bike turned what I had left grey.

Hot wire is most likely shorted. Also miswired, since it should blow a fuse first.
I think his point is that the main fuse SHOULD have blown if you had it wired correctly.
