I've got the carbs to my 79 CM400T apart and I don't know how to tell if the float needle is any good or if I should replace it. I can see a definite discoloration on the rubber tip where it meets with the seat but that's about all I can tell. Any thing I should look for?
Carbs are torn apart because it sat for 18 months before I purchased it, I haven't found any varnish or gunk in the carbs just cleaning them since I already had them off the bike.
