I rode dirtbikes as a kid, and decided this was the summer I was going to get my motorcycle license. I knew I wanted an 80's Honda, and when I saw this 1982 Honda CM450c on Kijiji, I picked it up. It is pretty much stock parts, but generally neglected, although running. There's a lot of dings and scuffs, and some surface rust, but nothing too major.

I never test drove it because the brakes "needed to be bled", and I haven't been on a bike in 10 years. Fun fact, once I got the master cylinder open, it was actually COMPLETELY EMPTY. The plastic was so damaged, I couldn't really see into it. So... added that to my parts list, along with a new battery and tires. I also found a mouse nest in the air filter :?

My goal is to get it cleaned up, running consistently, and registered/insured by the end of May 2017, so I can ride it to work for the summer.

Currently I'm going through the general maintenance list of lubing, filling, cleaning, and replacing filters. Every time I google something like "What are carbs?" this website pops up, so I figured it was the place to be. (I'm still learning all the names of parts)

I think the service manual ZIP I found was from one of these threads as well, so thanks, it has been an amazing help!!! :D

No, I was emailed a list by my uncle (He's into motorcycles, but lives in Texas) It was also more "typical maintenance". Thanks for the link, this is much more detailed.
