I think the sprocket is different?
The rockers are different
The cam bearings and rocker pins are different

To my knowledge, the bearings and pivot pins are not different. So cam, sprocket and followers need to match. Also the cam casing are slightly different but can be made to work. A fat cam does not always fit in a skinny cam casing, or the other way around. I am not sure anymore. You can dremel out some material to make it work.

Redline and profile of the lobes on both cams is similar. But there's also a really early type of fat cam that has a slightly higher redline. Those are pretty rare.

Well I'll add my two cents....

All fat cams have the same redline which is higher than the skinny cam.

Fat cams will fit in all of the cam cases, skinny cams won't fit into the fat cam case without doing some material removal.

As mentioned the rockers and sprocket must match the cam, all other parts are the same.

Racers like the fat cam as it has fewer issues with breakage.
