they are on my 82 450 nighthawk, the dunlop and qualifier words are raised and painted white, date code says 255, which means code used before 2000, 25th week of either 1985, or 1995, can I assume they are too old to keep on the bike?

My choice of wording and punctuation was meant to imply that simply asking about the possibility of riding those tires was so far beyond logical as to be incomprehensible...
