True. My high-point was rolling up outside the school main gate one morning on my new (to me) RD250 as everybody was heading in. Coasted to a halt, basking in the glory of the moment - admiring glances from the girls/envy from the boys (well so I imagined anyway) and then discovered my shoe-lace had got caught in the shift-pedal as the bike and I as a unit just rolled over to the left and fell in a heap to the ground - still in the fully seated position. I can still hear the roars and howls of laughter, many decades later. Don't think I'll ever live that one down ..Everyone drops a bike at some point in time, usually in front of a bunch of friends who will never let you forget it until they do it themselves.
