Disc Brake Squeal after Pad change

Hi all,

I've recently had to substantially rebuild my front disc calipers on my Honda CD250U 1989. Pistons jammed, master cylinder shot etc.

Long story short front brakes largely reworked, cleaned and/or replaced.

Now they work great....except for an annoying squeal every time they are applied.

I know this is likely from vibration hut where from and what can I do to quieten it?

I find myself unconciously using the rear drum brake more often just to avoid the squeal.

Back in the 70's, Chrysler actually had us glue the pads to the caliper yoke and piston with contact cement. They had a huge squealing issue on some models and put out a bulletin about it.
As Jim says, though, there are much better products out there today.
